Pre-Europe Practice Shots on D90

Now that the CFA is over, I finally got some time to get familiar with the D90 before the Eurotrip. I think the thing that impresses me the most about this camera is the fact that, no matter how poorly lit an original capture is before Photoshop, the camera is able to capture enough exposure and sharpness for the original conditions to be recovered a la software.

Europe, here we come.

And All The Roads That Lead Us There Are Winding

Like a vague dream, the past four years replayed in my mind, visible yet intangible, lucid yet discontinuous.

It's all over.

Today we stand, on the same jagged steps of College Walk, transformed. Here we stand, overachievers of the past becoming leaders of the future. Uncertainly we stand, atop a bittersweet cloud, attempting to balance the ephemeral euphoria of saying goodbye to problem sets and to finals with the pending apprehension of saying goodbye to friends and to Columbia.

Because the emotional crosscurrents of graduation are beyond words for most of us, I find it most appropriate to sum up the bittersweet feelings of graduation with pictures, or a thousand words at a time.

Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how

Thanks, everyone, for four years of unforgettable, unrepeatable, and incomparable times. Here's to making today better than yesterdays and today pale in comparison to tomorrow.
